Rashford's Goal Pushes England Closer to World Cup
SLOVENIA'S impressive unbeaten streak continued on Monday, as they held on to a 1-1 draw against Slovakia in a World Cup qualifier. The result extends their undefeated run to eight games in all competitions, with four wins and four draws. This is the second-longest unbeaten run in Slovenia's history, with the longest being a nine-game streak between September 2010 and March 2011.
Meanwhile, England's fixtures for the Euro 2024 group stage have been revealed. The Three Lions will face Scotland, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic in Group D. The tournament will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
In other news, Marcus Rashford scored the winning goal for England in a 2-1 victory over Slovakia on Monday. The win puts England on the brink of qualifying for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
And finally, Adam Lallana's 95th-minute goal against Slovakia gave Sam Allardyce a win in his first game as England boss. The victory was a boost for Allardyce, who had come under fire after England's poor performance at Euro 2016.
