Fans of the popular science fiction franchise Dune will soon have a new series to sink their teeth into. Dune: The Sisterhood, a prequel set 10,000 years before the events of the original novel, is set to premiere this fall.

A Prophecy Haunts the Universe

The six-episode season will explore the origins of the Bene Gesserit, a powerful order of women who hold the secrets of genetic memory. The series will follow the lives of three sisters, Camilla Beeput, Sarah Lam, and Emily Watson, as they navigate the dangerous political landscape of their time.

Legendary Television announced the full series order in June 2019, and the production will debut on HBO Max. The series is a collaboration between Legendary and Warner Bros., and it is based on the books by Frank Herbert.
